'Change' came early for the people of Papa Olushosun, Onigbogbo as Junior Chamber International, Lagos City (a local chapter of JCI- an international organization of young active citizens) brought medical succour, sanitation awareness and mass deworming exercise to children, pregnant women and other members in the community. It was fulfilling to see the smiles on these citizens.
Health and Wellness and Good Sanitation. JCI Lagos City worked with volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and Lagos State Government Agencies. This year, over 500 people benefited from its free medical consultation and prescriptions.The project was supported by Swipha, Daystar Health Ministry and Primary Health Care.
The Executive Secretary of Onigbongbo Local Government expressed his pleasure at the conduct and selfless service of the organization. Also present at the event was rising star Olumide Oworu (The Johnsons and Shuga) the President of JCI Nigeria and other National Board members. President of JCI Lagos City, Kehinde Adedeji and the Project chairperson, Peace Abara were also pleased that the project made an impact in the community.
