A GCC national was lured into a 'massage' session - which was never there - by an African gang who put up a picture of a blonde woman to attract and trap him, while robbing the man of Dh1,200 at knifepoint.
They advertised on the social network that the blonde would provide the 'massage'. The 21-year-old man fell for it and contacted them through WhatsApp, according to media reports. He was called to a hotel room for a session. When he reached the place, the man found the lights of the room dimmed. He was taken by surprise when two African women attacked him and pushed him onto the bed. An African man joined them, kicking him when he tried to escape.
They robbed him of Dh1,200, and tried to kill him with a knife. The man was saved when security guards entered the room to take stock of the situation. The victim reported the incident to the police and the two women were arrested. The duo denied the attack, while claiming that one of them had a relationship with the man. The woman claimed the man invited her for coffee but tried to rape her. The police found mobile phones of many other victims with the gang.
