The Champions League final is here and Michael Owen has once again revealed who he thinks will come out on top at the showpiece event.
The former Manchester United player, Michael Owen, is predicting that the wait for a first Champions League trophy will continue for Mbappe and PSG as he thinks Bayern’s stronger mentality will see the German champions win the trophy for the sixth time.
This year's final, scheduled for Sunday, 23 August, will see Paris Saint-Germain clash with Bayern Munich in Lisbon, Portugal. And as has been the case since Champions League returned, the showpiece event will take place behind closed doors because of the coronavirus pandemic.

After narrowly escaping defeat in the quater-finals against Atalanta, the Parisians reminded everyone who might have forgotten how good they are as they dominated the semi-final against Leipzig from start to finish.
Following that victory, reports suggested that Neymar could be suspended for the finals for breaking UEFA protocol by swapping shirts at the end of the game. But UEFA have now cleared that doubt by stating clearly that Neymar is free to play in the final which is of course a big boost for PSG going into the finals.
It must be said that Neymar is not the only difference maker in PSG, they also have Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria playing in their front three. In the quater-finals Mbappe came from the bench and won PSG the game with an assist for the winning goal deep into stoppage time, while Angel Di Maria scored the second goal in the semi-final victory over Leipzig.

In Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria, PSG have a front three that has pace, skill, and end product. On there day they can combine to a devastating effect and certainly this three will be there to cause Bayern one or two problems at the showpiece event in Lisbon.
Bayern Munich
Bayern have been the most dominant team in this season's Champions League competition, winning all their matches and scoring an impressive 42 goals in the 10 matches they have played.
People thought it was the height of it after the Bavarians beat Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate but they were wrong, they saved the best for Barcelona in the quater-finals as they trashed the Blaugrana 8-2 in a one-off game. The Germans also went to the semi-finals and beat Lyon 3-0 to set up this clash with PSG.
Bayern have proved severally in this campaign that they are not a one man team as goal contribution is spread all over the team. But it must be said that Robert Lewandowski is the main man for his team.
This season the Poland international has scored 55 goals in all competitions for Bayern with 15 of them coming in the Champions League. He has also scored in every match of this season's Champions League competition and is only 2 goals away from equalling Cristiano Ronaldo's 17 goals scored in a single campaign (2013/2014 season), which is a Champions League record.
No one can bet against him achieving that or bet against him not to keep up with his habit of scoring in every Champions League match this season. Certainly the PSG defenders cannot afford to blink with Lewandowski in this game.
Michael Owen's prediction
Bayern has the best attack in this competition having scored 42 goals while PSG has the best defence having conceded just 5 goals and Michael Owen is backing the team with the best attack to win the team with the better defence so far.
"It’s a difficult game to predict, as any good final should be, but I still have some doubts over Paris Saint Germain’s mental strength and the scars from heart-breaking defeats in recent seasons may just re-surface, particularly if the German side take the lead," said Michael Owen while writing about the game in his BetVictor column.
For his prediction he continued; "On the other hand, the mentality of Bayern is never in question so on this occasion I’m going for a 3-1 win to Hans-Dieter Flick’s men and for Bayern to lift the trophy for the sixth time in their illustrious history."
