Drama As Segalink Blasts Wizkid, Dipo Awojide, Others For Hijacking #EndSARS, Term Protesters Cultists

It is a new dawn in the realm of #EndSARS protests nationwide and sadly a seed of disunity has been planted.


For the better part of two weeks, Nigerians all over the world have been crying out with one voice for an end to SARS brutality and police oppression.

On Sunday,11, the Inspector-General of police announced the disbandment of SARS following widespread protests and promised a reform in the Police Force. On Tuesday 13th, the Federal Government announced the creation of Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) to replace SARS.

This mere change of accronym has incited anger in Nigerians who started the trend of #ENDSWAT overnight but this morning something else is cooking.

Long time activist against police brutality, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink put up a long thread which pointed fingers at some people who according to him have hijacked the protest for personal purposes. He also charged all those who were still protesting to go home and not be used as pawns by this group of people.

Amongst those he mentioned are musician Wizkid, Twitter influencers, Dipo Awojide, Pamilerin, Governors of Lagos, Ogun and Kwara states amongst others.
